Simply said, 240's are tanks.
This one in particular.
This little car got me all the way up from Tucson, Arizona, to here with no problems, no breakdowns, no headache.
This plucky little Swedish fellow will get you anywhere, maybe not particularly fast, but it will get you there.
The Good: brand new tires all around, original analog clock was replaced with an RPM gauge, very useful, and rare to see on these cars, one of the last cheap rwd sedans left, great in snow (plenty of new, fwd vehicles were stuck on the way up from Arizona, the volvo didnt even struggle once.
) and relatively low mileage for a 240, as they can easily hit 400k, also looking cool as hell.
The Bad: Intermittent temp sensor and bad fuel pressure regulator causes it to surge at idle every once in a while, I have the temp sensor in the trunk but never got around to installing it.
Oh yeah and the trunk is stuck closed.
Doh!
Overall this is a great car that I wouldn't even consider project status, get a few easy swap parts in and its ready to go forever, but those parts were bad on the trip up from Arizona, so that won't stop you from driving it home and impressing your wife with your new badass rwd sedan (not liable for unimpressed spouses).
The Ugly: Missing grill and fading paint on the hood and trunk make it look a little beat, but every once in a while you might hear a hipster go, "sweet patina bro".
will consider trades and ever so slightly negotiable on price if youre into volvos in particular
