Up for sale is my 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT, a high-performance sedan that packs a punch with a 470 HP 6.
4L V8 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission.
I believe in full honesty, transparency and disclosure.
We have all dealt with some shady &*^*% lying to you.
That's not me.
That is why this ad is so long.
There is a lot to say about this car.
I own a small independent repair shop and have wanted one of these cars for years.
Finally, I managed to get my hands on one.
It drives awesome and I really enjoy driving it.
BUT, a super sweet deal on a Challenger Hellcat dropped in my lap that I could not pass up.
Unfortunately I cannot keep both, so my baby must be sold.
The car has just over 53,000 miles on it and is in extremely good condition.
There is some normal wear and tear but it presents well and I get compliments on it wherever I go.
It does have the vapor chrome package which is extremely attractive, but unfortunately this package is known for the coating peeling on the wheels.
It has started on this car, but it is minor for now.
This car is the victim of insurance fraud.
It has a flood title.
I purchased the car from a younger gentleman in Battle Ground who was hoping to get lucky.
Unfortunately for him, he wasn't lucky.
The engine was locked up.
When I got the car the first thing I did was to disassemble the interior to check for water contamination.
There wasn't a single drop of water in the car.
No dirt, mud or debris in the carper or under the carpet and zero mold in the car at all.
This car has NOT been flooded.
If it had, there would be sand, dirt and mud under and in the carpet and by the time the car went through the auction and sale process there would have been massive amounts of moisture in the car and mold growing all over.
During disassembly of the inerior, I found some paperwork with the phone number of the previous owner and called him.
He admitted to me that he did not change the oil often enough and blew the engine up.
A week later hurricane Ida came through and he claimed it on his insurance as flooded.
Everything I found corroborates the man's statement.
I have pictures available upon request of the interior when I took the carpet out, as well as pictures of the car at the copart auction.
I also have a picture of what the inside of a Lexus looks like after it HAS been flooded.
It's ugly.
I also found the engine failed due to oil starvation, not water ingestion.
Engines don't spin rod bearings when they ingest water.
They break rods and pistons.
You can't run these engines for 15,000 miles on an oil change and expect them to last.
They won't.
I have the carfax maintenance history to corroborate this too.
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the engine core before it went back to Chrysler.
So now that's out of the way, I put a TON of work into this car to get it up to my standards.
I would put my wife in this car and let her drive it anywhere.
That being said, I put this car together for ME, so no corners were cut.
If it was even questionable or marginal it got replaced.
This car was meant to be my NICE CAR - going out with my wife, driving to the relatives on holidays to show off, trips to Seattle and Portland, etc.
100% NEW - NOT remanufactured - NEW - Dodge 6.
4/392 crate engine.
This engine is still under Dodge warranty for another 2 years and 99,000 miles.
Any issue with the engine during the warranty period and Dodge/Chrysler will cover the repairs.
The installation of the new engine included: NEW intake manifold, NEW water pump NEW thermostat NEW spark plugs NEW oil cooler NEW oil pump pickup tube NEW VCT solenoid NEW seals/gaskets as required NEW air filter NEW coolant Other repairs/services done to the car: NEW A/C condenser and freon charge NEW front brake pads and rotors NEW rear brake pads and rotors NEW tires NEW front under body shields - people break these on parking curbs all the time.
NEW left rear door latch NEW right rear speed sensor NEW cabin air filter NEW shift cable - I accidentally snapped this when I was dropping the front cradle.
Oops.
ALL of the interior carbon fiber trim has been replaced - these are notorious for delaminating.
Both center console side panels have been replaced - these are also notorious for delaminating.
NEW cup holder trim.
It had a small crack and I was not happy with that.
Full transmission fluid flush Full brake fluid system flush with DOT 4 synthetic brake fluid Fresh alignment Fresh detail Fresh oil and filter change This is a great car and will treat you well for many years.
It runs awesome, looks great and drives great.
The engine still has factory Chrysler parts and labor warranty.
I love driving it - it's BY FAR the BEST road trip car I have ever owned and I would love for it to go to a good home.
I am asking $31,000 or best offer for this car.
No trades at this time please.
I think this is reasonable considering the warranty on the engine and all of the work done to make this car as perfect as possible.
These are getting VERY hard to find in excellent condition with low miles.
If you think my asking price is too high you are welcome to make a reasonable offer.
We all have busy lives.
Please respect my time and I will respect yours.
I am happy to work with your bank or lending institution as needed.
Please email or text.
Call if you must, but I work in a noisy environment and may not hear my phone ring.
Please email or text.
I realize I am wasting my time, but yet I will still try: SCAMMERS! Don't bother.
I know your tricks.
The VIN is posted in the ad.
If you want to run a carcheck on your fake phishing site please go right ahead.
I will not be doing so.
If I am in the mood and I have the time, I might just pretend to fall for your scam and get you to send me a bunch of fake cashier's checks.
That's always fun.
